Hearts defender Christos Karipidis says the Gorgie faithful will watch a different brand of football this season under new boss Csaba Laszlo. The former Uganda manager watched his side lose 1-0 at Dunfermline on Wednesday, two days after their 1-1 draw at Glentoran.
But Karipdis, 25, insists the training ground changes since the Romania-born Hungarian arrived last week augur well for the new season.
"All managers are different, they all have a different philosophy," siad the Greek defender.
"But the new manager works a lot on tactics and organisation.
"We talk to him every day and he is always talking about tactics, for instance what to do when we have the ball and what we do when we have lost the ball.
"He likes to play football from the back and keep the ball on the grass.
"We work every day on these tactics and we are improving every day.
"The players are enjoying the training and I think everyone is happy.
"If the manager and players all stick together then I think we can achieve something."
The former PAOK defender admits discipline is high on the list of priorities for Laszlo, who has hinted that he may prune the over-sized Tynecastle squad if he does not get the right response from his players before the season begins.
Karipidis said: "The new manager told us right away that he wants discipline in the team and that is very important.
"The discipline starts with something simple but very important, like time-keeping.
"For instance, if he says we start training at 9.45 then we must start then.
"When he says we must do something on the pitch, we must do exactly what he says - if we don't do it then maybe we will have problems!"
