Kaka Wants Chelsea Move - Advisor

Sat 19 Jul, 08:09 AM

Kaka has set his heart on a sensational world-record transfer to Chelsea, according to his advisor.

A report on Saturday morning claims the FIFA World Player of the Year was the subject of discussions between the Barclays Premier League club and the Brazilian's current employers AC Milan, this week, with a view to a possible £80million switch.

The Italians secured the signing of the 26-year-old's international team-mate Ronaldinho on Wednesday despite their well-publicised financial difficulties, and Kaka's personal assistant Diogo Kotscho is adamant all parties involved now want the deal to go through.

If it did, Kaka would be reunited with Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari who handed him a Brazil debut in 2002 at the age of 20, and then included him in the squad that went on to win the World Cup that year.

"Real Madrid offered 90 million euros (£71million) last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kotscho told The Guardian.

"This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen.

"Because of the situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved.

"The move would represent a significant increase in Kaka's salary, on top of the 10% transfer fee that goes straight to the player anyway - some 15 million euros (£12million).

"Chelsea are the club to be at right now. They are building a team to win everything."

Any deal for arguably the planet's best player seems certain to break the world record transfer fee of £46million set when Real Madrid signed Zinedine Zidane from Juventus in 2001.

  2. Ha, is this the 4th or 5th time this transfer has been mooted this summer? Why would Milan sell him when all summer they've said all along that they don't need to!

  3. Sure, signing Anderson, Hargreaves, and Nani last season are big money signings as you say. Now compare that to Deco, Kaka, and Bosingwa. That goes for previous years as well. At least we don't go buying the world's best players. We train them to be as good as they are currently. The only reason Chelsea is as good as they are now is coz you have a billionaire owning you, and don't see fit in the art of training young players into superstars. Bottom line is, Chelsea sucks. Money is he only thing that gets them going.

  6. At last Chelsea are looking at someone who is the right age and with the skills to improve Chelsea. Robinho - can't even get a regular spot in Spain's 2nd best team, The Russian - 2 good games in the Euros and one where he disapeared, Ronaldinho - well past his sell by date and also as per Robinho above.
Let's get Kaka and then listen to all the whinging as we win everything.
Of course it will all come down to the money. The press were extremly quiet on that issue last season when Man U and Liverpool spent big and we went for free transfers.

  14. Pls don't talk Robinho when it is about players who can make reasonable impact on the pitch, I mean players who can decide difficult matches. Kaka falls within that range, but at this moment Chelsea has enough stars, and we don't need Kaka. The fee is very astronomical....and must have been exaggerated by Milan inorder to keep him at Milan.
