Fiorentina winger Valon Behrami hopes to see Alberto Aquilani join the Serie A outfit from Liverpool this summer.

The Florence outfit have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian midfielder, who is under contract at Anfield until June 2014.

"Aquilani is the right player to bring back the enthusiasm of the Fiorentina fans," said Behrami to Corriere dello Sport. "He would be very useful to the team.

"Aquilani has great quality."

Aquilani, who spent last season on loan at Juventus, wanted to remain in Italy but received no suitable offers despite making 33 league appearances for the Turin outfit.

The 26-year-old has also been linked with Sunderland and Milan this month.

    He didn't fit­ into Hodgsons system, because Hodgson is a rat faced­ lemon, and his sacking was long overdue.
    But he could,­ and looks able to fit into Kennys more pliable and­ diverse system/s.
    We have Maxi Lucas Spearing Adams­ Aquilani Gerrard Kuyt Suarez Cole, Even Jovanovic could­ be used in Midfield on the wing, now Downing.
    Kenny­ has so many attacking formations at his disposal.
    And­ Keeping Alberto would actually come into play mid­ season when Gerrard needs a few games out.
    Aquilani­ seems to link up Well with Ngog which is a puzzler.
    But­ we are yet to see Aquilani play with Downing Suarz and­ Gerrard in the side.
    That can only be described as­ dynamic.
    True Gerrard maybe has lost a little pace­ through injury.
    He could be fully healed and more eager­ to bomb forward like he used to, and if so.
    I fail to­ see how our midfield could be considered inferior, to­ anyones.
