Manchester City captain Richard Dunne is itching to get back into action after missing the defeat at Aston Villa through suspension.The centre-back will also miss out on the Citizen's first home game of the season against West Ham, on Saturday, after being sent off in the final game of last season against Middlesbrough.

The Republic of Ireland international told the club's official website: "It's frustrating to miss these first two games because of what happened at Middlesbrough.

"The team has got to get back to top form for when I'm back and when Jo comes back from the Olympics as well."

He added: "As a team we have got to be looking at the top seven, so that come the end of the season we are pushing for the UEFA Cup places. Everyone wants to get into Europe."
