Stockport striker Peter Thompson looks set to miss the League One trip to Hartlepool on Saturday through injury.The 24-year-old, who has withdrawn from the Northern Ireland squad that are set to face Scotland in a midweek friendly, has returned to Manchester for treatment on a thigh injury.

Thompson moved to Edgeley Park from Linfield in a £100,000 move in July and is now set for a spell on the sidelines.
