Fulham's Seol Ki-hyeon has admitted he is happy to play as a striker to ensure he is part of Roy Hodgson's starting line-up at Craven Cottage.The South Korean appears to have been handed a second chance by Hodgson after scarcely featuring under the Cottagers manager last season.

During pre-season, Seol was moved up front after previously playing on the wing and partnered Bobby Zamora in Fulham's opener against Hull last Saturday.

He headed the Cottagers in front at the KC Stadium and is looking to continue to impress Hodgson in a more advanced role.

"Since I came here I've played as a winger, but I will do what the manager wants me to do," Seol told the club's official website.

"I played most of my career as a winger, but I have played as a striker before.

"I want to play and I want to be part of the team, so it doesn't matter where I play. The manager said I have something he likes as a striker, so I have to keep showing him why I should be picked.

"I will keep trying and when I get the chances, I will try to score some goals.

"I haven't set any specific targets for this season, but my aim is just to play as much as possible.

"We struggled to stay up last season and I didn't do anything for the team, so that was very disappointing for me. So my aim is to do my best and try to have more influence on the pitch."
