Birmingham striker James McFadden will not move to Rangers or Celtic, contrary to recent reports, because of the bad atmosphere in Glasgow.
The Daily Record would have you believe that any footballer would give their left leg to play for the Old Firm, but not so with Scotland's finest McFadden.
"I wasn't at Ibrox or Parkhead last week so that's how far those rumours went," he said. "It's hard to tell [if I'll be here this season] but at the minute I am unless I'm told otherwise.
"To be perfectly honest I wouldn't entertain a move to Glasgow. I'm happy to be playing outside Scotland at the minute, especially with the kind of press that's been going about for Rangers and Celtic. I'm quite happy to be away from it.
"I read the papers and I watch the television and there has been some bad press for Rangers recently. I'm afraid that's what you get at the two biggest teams: there are always stories to be written, whether they are good or bad."
Reading are lining up a loan for an Arsenal superstar to replace Nicky Shorey. Okay, TT lied. The man in question is in fact Kieran Gibbs, who can operate at left-back as well as in midfield, and hence would fill the gaping hole left by Aston Villa's Nicky Shorey.
Southampton are keen to bring in some much-needed funds from Stoke for Andrew Davies. They would make a healthy profit of £500,000 on the £1m they paid Middlesbrough for him last summer.
Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock really doesn't like midfielder Paul Ifill. He sold the Barbados winger to Palace while manager of Sheffield United and has now placed him on the Selhurst Park transfer list, along with former Harchester United star Carl Fletcher.
Palace are looking to snare Colchester wide man Mark Yeates to replace Ifill. A black bin liner stuffed with £600,000 ought to do it.
Derby are to offer French midfielder Julien Sable a deal after Blackburn's interest cooled following a trial game. Why not? Paul Jewell may finally get it right with his 50th production of the cheque book and finally win a game of football.
Fulham have accepted a bid from Ipswich for Moritz Volz.

Oi Superdog...get up to speed, Forssell left on July 1st at the end of his contract, and is now playing in Germany with Hanover....And for your info, McFadden has PUBLICLY stated that he is happy at Birmingham.
he wouldnt go to rangers because rangers are scotlands shame
And whats the bad press that Celtic have had-hes a halfwit!
Actually hes a Celtic fan but hes not good enough to play for them so he should be embarassed to even make a comment like that!
I don't know. Mcfadden would not get a game for either old firm teams at the moment. He is too much of a luxury and nobody seems to be able to tell you what position the guy plays, not enough goals for a striker and not enough graft for a midfielder. As for the guy who made the hun comment grow up, it is ppl like you that is holding the old firm and scottish football back. Can I just ask why it took Rangers to be knocked out of Europe before they spent some money, too little to late.
Paul g are you a idiot or what just because he said rangers first doesn't mean he's a hun.i don't think he is that stupid
Lol the comment about paul jewell... about as accurate as the press surrounding any club during this period.
I dont know what mcfadden and forsell are still doing at birmingham... they are premier league material.

Did you notice in his interview on the news he says rangers and celtic and not celtic and rangers. Always knew he was a hun
Who is this guy trying to kid.......Average player that would prob end up on the bench for Celtic or Rangers
The Harchester United character Karl Fletcher was fictional and played by actor Terry Kiely therefore the Carl Fletcher of Crystal Palace cannot be the same one that played for Harchester United.
