Champions League - Round-up: Stuttgart, Olympiacos on top

Stuttgart and Olympiacos scored 2-0 away wins in their final Champions League play-off matches to set up their places in the group stage after the second legs next week.

FOOTBALL 2009-2010 Champions League VfB Stuttgart FC Timisoara - VfB Stuttgart Khedira Marica Gebhard - 0

Stuttgart won at Politechnica Timisoara in Romania with two goals in three minutes from Timo Gebhart and Aleksandr Hleb while Olympiacos beat Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova 2-0 with Dudu and substitute Kostas Mitroglou on target in the second half.

In the two other matches, FC Copenhagen beat APOEL Nicosia 1-0 while Sporting Lisbon had their first goalscorer Simon Vukcevic sent off for celebrating his strike during their 2-2 home draw with Fiorentina.

The remaining play-off first legs are being played on Wednesday.
