Arsenal take on Celtic for a place in the Champions League group stages on Tuesday - the Gunners' reward for finishing fourth last season.
The last time the "big four" of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal were disturbed was in 2004/2005 when Everton finished fourth, and that year the fifth placed team, Liverpool, had the small consolation of the Champion League title.
However, with big spending clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham having made impressive starts to the season, there is a growing feeling that a new team could finally break-up the big four this season.
In pre-season, Arsenal where seen as the club in most danger of dropping out of the elite but their 6-1 demolition of Everton seems to have silenced the doubters.
Now the spotlight of doom seems to falling on Liverpool who lost Xavi Alonso and Sami Hyypia in the summer and looked poor in a 2-1 opening weekend defeat at Tottenham.
The latest reports from the tabloids are also suggesting that Rafael Benitez has been given just £1.5 million to add to his squad.
Could Liverpool drop out of the top four? Did Arsenal flatter to deceive at the weekend? Is there any possibility of Manchester United or Chelsea slipping up? And finally, if somebody does drop down, which team will take advantage.
We want to here your top four predications.

Arsenal
Man United
Chelsea
Man City
Liverpool
Out of all I think Chelsea will come first, they got all the quality players they need, and the only one of the Big Four that don't lose their key player(s). Arsenal has sold Adebayour and Toure, which both are good, true, they have younger talents but you also need experienced player in the squad. Man U without Ronaldo and Tevez is still a good team, but they will need time to get use without him. Furthermore, those two scored a large number of goals for Man U. Without Alonso, Liverpool seems fragile in the midfield, they will miss him, Lucas is good, but not as great as Alonso. So, the only team who improve a little bit at this moment is Chelsea. If anything happen, I think the forth will go to Spurs, but also possible none of the Big Four slip.
Okay, this is STUPID.
LESS than a week ago, Everyone on this site (except, it seems, me [see past forum posts]) was talking - as if they knew anything - about how Arsenal would be dropping out of the top 4. Now, after ONE GAME, you're saying they're possible title contenders AND you're saying that Liverpool - also after one game - the team who people thought would be 1st or 2nd next year a few weeks ago - are the ones who are going to struggle.
And what's gonna happen when Tottenham wins three games in a row? "OMG Redknapp's done it! Finally new champions!!" Then, four weeks later? "Aston Villa - a horror start to the season but now theyre in FIRST PLACE and no one looks like stopping them!!"
Yer alllll jackasses.
Mark my words. Final four teams this year will contain Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. I think Chelsea will once again miss out on everything because I think ancelotti will be sacked by christmas. Man Utd will come second, I think, in a tight affair. And either arsenal or liverpool will win it. THAT SAID, considering the nature of Arsenal and Liverpool, I predict that if either team loses at least two key players to injury, their campaigns will deflate like punctured condom-baloons.
Man City will bring up the rear, but Tevez will be bloody sold at christmas - why? BECAUSE, just like Alex, Hughes will realise that Tevez implodes teamwork-based moves like water on a sandcastle.

at the end of the season the top 4 will remain as it always has, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liver and the Mancs... last year we all thot Villa were gonna be number 4. at one point they were well ahead of Arsenal on points. but experience tells and wenger ploughed back while his villa counterpart faltered. the defeat of liverpool away to spurs doesnt say much. true they played badly, but so did United against Fulham last year and they still won the league. in one year they lost home and away to city!! but it was still a good season for United.
In alphabetical order: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United. Mind you, I'd like the league standings to work out that way, too!

I Think Man United will drop off not because of the Liverpool V Man U thing it's because of Ronaldo. He left and to fill op they needed three players that's not making sens. Buying Owen was a mistake cause he had had his time as a footballer and even Rooney can't do any thing. If Ronaldo stayed they would have destroyd Birmingham but still they won. And Liverpool we have some problem but what I hate is that a club as LFC can't allow the manager to have fully control of the expenture Always fighting with the onwers for money to buy players one day it has to stop. I think we can win the Title it only take foucos and passion. I know we slipped last weekend at White Hart Lane but we will be League Champions.

Man u wont get to top four. They will probably finish 5th or 6th. People think that Chelsea will win because they didnt lose any players, but they can hardly beat hull city. Arsenal are good and they will deserve the win, because they are the only team that work really hard and they dont have their main striker, but have a young and strong team. Liverpool lost Xabi Alonso but they didnt use him much last season, he is great but mostly came on when Gerard did not play.
