Wycombe manager Peter Taylor blasted his side's display after they hung on for a fortunate 1-1 draw with Southend at Adams Park.

Both teams are still searching for their first win of the season after Shrimpers midfielder Jean-Francois Christophe's 45th-minute equaliser cancelled out Matt Harrold's opener for Wanderers.

Taylor said: "Southend were much better than us - it was a very poor performance.

"Yes the boys worked hard but Southend passed the ball much better and created more chances.

"Michael Duberry, Craig Woodman and Scott Shearer did fine but, apart from that, too many went missing.

"We're very disappointed about their set-piece goal and I'm sure they are just as disappointed about ours."
