Clerc is recovering from knee surgery and Italy's Grosso is nursing fractured ribs.

The seven-time champions have a defence problem ahead of Saturday's match, having conceded two goals in each of their last two outings.

Marseille captain Lorik Cana, who scored in a 2-1 Champions League defeat by Liverpool on Tuesday, said he was full of confidence before his second-placed team host Monaco on Sunday.
