Jenson Button says he wants to remain with the Brawn team next year. It has been reported that the world championship leader, having agreed a pay-cut for 2009 after the Honda management buyout, is now pushing for more money for next season and is yet to be made a satisfactory offer.
It is also expected that Nico Rosberg is headed to the Brackley based outfit, which would mean that either Button or his team-mate Rubens Barrichello must move aside.
Button is quoted as saying by Germany's Auto Bild Motorsport: "I am completely happy here. At Brawn there is a great atmosphere.
"We have been through a lot together and now finally we are at the top," said the Englishman, who joined the outfit when it was BAR in 2003 before it became the Japanese manufacturer Honda's works team.

Ross is sitting pretty with two seats, Nico, Rubens and Jenson all want a piece of the action Rubens (almost certainly Ross's preferred choice) will probably drive for nothing to maintain his seat while Rosbergs seat will be paid for by MB, it is a shame but it is hard to see where Jenson fits into the equation.
By By Buttons, washed up has been. Never competitive - no heart, No Mercedes ride. The only reason he is ahead in points is because Brawn provided him with the illegal Diffuser and squashed Ruben's chances early. He would make a great lollypop man.
If Mercedes is a bigger part owner of Brawn GP next year, having a german driver might be part of the agreament for there participation.... only my opinion not facts !
Will Jenson Button be the Mark Fydrich of F1 next year?
Sorry am I missing something here? Has anyone actually heard Jenson say he wants’ more money?? Or are we all still believing he does as it was reported in the English press?? the sun I think...nuff said!!!
He will be paid more next year and it wouldn't be right for a world championship team to pay its WCD or runner up the same after the two drivers took a wage cut to stay with team last year and have done an awesome job this season....and before someone says it yes he had a choice and another offer and let’s not forget Massa point black refused to even think of a wage cut when it was suggested amid the financial crisis it may have to happen!!
jenson should stay at brawngp, because hes finally got a winning car
Braun wake up you have two excellent drivers who have shown their talents for you this year, be a man and keep both. You dont need Rosberg just pay the ones youve got a bir more. Jenson dont be greedy as a good ride is better than no ide at all. Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello have been loyal and driven well Ross remember that and keep us your fans happy.
Dont price yourself out Jenson!
