Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies insists Newcastle and Middlesbrough target Robert Earnshaw has a long-term future at the City Ground.
The Wales striker came off the subsitutes' bench to score the equaliser in Forest's 1-1 draw at Ipswich on Tuesday night, but afterwards revealed his frustration at failing to secure a place in Davies' starting line-up.
But Davies told the club's official website: "Robert Earnshaw is here to stay - there's absolutely no chance that we're prepared to let him go anywhere. He's part of the squad that we're developing for the future."
He added: "In respect of agents and other mischief makers, the message is loud and clear - Robert Earnshaw is staying at Forest. He is very much part of the team here, we're delighted to have him and under no circumstances is he leaving."

Why hands off? Just get rid, his ego 100 times bigger than his ability.
er, Robert who?
er, Robert who?
Agree with all the comments here. I don't rate him. Davies never did when he was at Derby. And he puts him on the bench at Forest now that we have better players in Blackstock and McGoldrick. Maybe he's trying to talk the price up. No loss if he goes.

What is this repeated interest in Robert Earnshaw, As a Baggies fan who watched him for two years I can honestly say: -
1: No doubt the boy knows where the goal is
2: Touch is pathetic
3: Work Ethic is worse
4: Ego is astronomical
Basically if you play to his strengths and constantly supply him with limitless chances he will score you goals, if not, then he won't.
If the lad's got a long term future with Forest then he'd be better stopping where he is because he wont have that luxery with us.
is this the same Billy Davies that wouldn't play him, when he was at Derby?
Not good enough anyway; he would be 4th choice here, i'd sooner have the boy Healy from the mackems.
