Plymouth have raided Premier League champions Manchester United to sign defensive duo David Gray and James Chester on three-month loan deals.

Gray returns to Home Park after a similar spell last season while Chester enjoyed a loan stint with Peterborough during the last campaign.

Gray, 20, is a Scotland Under-21 international who joined United from Hearts four years ago while Chester, also 20, has been with United since he was eight.

Both players go into Plymouth's squad for Saturday's trip to Newcastle.
