Cuba booked the last remaining place in the World Grand Champions Cup in Japan next month by beating the USA in the Continental Championship final.
The Cubans won the match in Puerto Rico three sets to one - 25-21, 22-25, 25-21, 25-22 - and will now join Japan, Brazil, Poland, Iran and Egypt in the Grand Champions event which will be held in Osaka and Nagoya, Japan from November 18-23.
Wilfredo Leon was the tournament MVP and he led Cuba with 24 points against the Americans in the final.
It was the 14th Continental Championship for Cuba in the tournament's 21-year history.
The bronze medal went to hosts Puerto Rico after they beat Canada in five sets (25-16, 24-26, 25-20, 22-25, 15-9) in the bronze medal match.
