Nottingham Forest striker Rob Earnshaw is eyeing a return to first-team action against former club Norwich this weekend.
The veteran frontman has missed Forest's last two league games with a calf injury but has stepped up his rehabilitation this week to put himself firmly in contention for Saturday's game against the Canaries.
Earnshaw, who joined Colin Calderwood's men from rivals Derby for a fee of £2.65 million in May, scored 27 goals in 47 appearances during his stay at Carrow Road.
"I'm hoping I'll be able to train properly with the rest of the lads on Thursday and we'll see how it goes from there," Earnshaw said.
"I would love to play against Norwich but much depends on how well things go between now and then."

It wont last he's a part timer, always has been.
At least he can stand on the pitch & watch the ball as opposed to being in the stands & watching it!
