Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun has stated that he is prepared to leave Anfield in order to find regular first-team football.
Benayoun has had a frustrating time this season and has had to make do with a place on the bench, starting just two of the last 10 games.
The Israeli signed from West Ham in the summer of 2007 and recorded an impressive 11 goals and 10 assists in his first season at the club.
The midfielder is currently away on international duty, where he is preparing to face the Ivory Coast, but he admits he has thought about a move away from Anfield.
He told The Sun: "The fact that I'm not involved and always come on as a sub tells you something. Even if it's Liverpool, if I don't get to play in the next few months I will not want to be here.
"I enjoy my time in England but maybe it is time to learn a new language, maybe Italian, French or Russian.
"When I came here it wasn't so I could tell everyone, 'Hey I play for Liverpool'.
"My purpose was to prove myself, and in the first year I think I did. I understand that I am at one of the biggest clubs in the world and that this year there are better players."
One of Benayoun's rare starts came in the 2-1 win over rivals Manchester United at Anfield but the 28-year-old found himself back on the bench for the following game.
"After our win over Manchester United I lost my place. Everyone wants to play and it is no fun sitting on the bench or playing just a few minutes.
"I'm part of the rotation but I hope in the next few months it will change."

Yossi as done well when he has come on or even played, but when you have the likes of gerrard, alonso, mascherano, kuyt, riera, its unstandable why its hard to get a start, but what I can't understand is why the hell does he bring players off and leave Yossi on the bench and bring the likes of Lucas on.......that boy is rubbish, I wouldn't play him in my sunday league team, he can only pass to a player if the player is ten yards or less in front, he can't shoot and my 90 year old grandma could tackle better We should be strengthening the team not making it weaker by buying in foreign rubbish!!Who the hell is liverpools scout, they should give is guide dog a shake!!!
Yossi is good, but LFC got too many good player....is hard for him to get into the first 11.
I think if he wants to go let him go, hes ok but hes not brilliant, riera is btr. As for number 30 goin on aboot droppin gerrard, ive never heard so much @#$%!!!
MR Bentez, wat has come over U.Benayoun is a smart guy,y do U Keep him n' the bench,Benayoun if U aren't comfortable, move guy,the Red devils may be needying U more, kam strengthen our team more.
you are and never were fit to wear the shirt. close the door behind you.
Yossi deserves a 1st team spot... He had skills, from my point of view i think he played better than Xabi...
Finally he gets it , he is not wanted at liverpool. And he and take dossena, aureilo, plessis, leto, voronin, off with him cos there a load of tripe. Rafa should buy some real players like Mcgeady,Schweinsteiger,Podalski,Kadalze. And why is he not playing Insua at left back that young lad has loads of talent, same with babel
i would rather see him and Torres together. And drop Gerrard he is not as good as Alonso or Masherano make him fight for his place like everyone else.
any player who is not prepared to fight for his place in a possible premiere league challenging team, but instead throws his toys out the pram to the press, does not deserve to don the shirt of liverpool! so leave in january, you wont be missed.
ta_kandil. to be quite frank, i thought Voronin played s''' in the season he was at Pool. he will e back next season tho, lets see if hes better then!
Pls stay at Anfield, and play a part for trophies this year
yossi should go his not good enough for liverpool plus the club need to seel some players to get some cash and Rafa should bring VORONIN back to the team he is better than yossi and babel
Come back to westham, dicks did and was still a legend. You would be welcomed back by all at Upton park.
Yossi challenge yourself. When you start show your class. When you come off the bench make the difference. That way u 2 can be a LIVERPOOL legend. No question of your competence only your confidence, the ONE thing that separate MEN from boys. This term the "Real Reds" are ready to be counted. Don't MISS out Benayoun.
as a red i would like him to stay, but with his talent he deserves first team football, not a young man either so may be on his way. ynwa!!
HE'S 28 YEARS OLD IF HE LEAVES AND WE GET A GOOD PRICE FOR HIM WE COULD BRING IN MORE YOUNG TALENT. :) LET HIM GO!!
DOSSI BENAYOUN.....ANOTHER ONE OF YOUR CLASSIC SIGNINGS......VORONIN IS GOD !!!!
I thought Yossi.Benayoun Liked Liverpool! Why is he leaving he has played some Excellent footbal at Anfield he should not go. But it is his choice I guess So he should really think about this transfer. He will need to choose wisely. He is a good player does millions of clever tricks so he can be a Powerful strong proud football player. Benitez will really hope Benayoun stays at the club, He`s good Mates with the other players they will be sad if he leaves Anfield. But if he does move The liverpool players will wish him good luck and say goodbye.
It looks like the start of an exodus from Liverpool..... i think quite a few more will soon be on their way.

Come to arsenal so yuu can have more first team action and have a chance to play with one of the premier league's future prospects.
THINK ABOUT IT YOSSI AND WENGER.
Arsenal for life.
