Age does not seem to have dimmed Sir Alex Ferguson's anger. On the contrary, he has matured into one of the grumpiest old men imaginable.
Just yesterday he received a two-match touchline ban for coating referee Mike Dean in phlegm and spittle after Manchester United beat Hull.
And his face could turn a deeper shade of purple when he finds out what Liverpool have got up their sleeve.
You may remember last year, when United went out of their way not to sell Gabriel Heinze to their North-West rivals, off-loading him to Real Madrid instead.
Rafa Benitez has tried to fill the gap at left-back with several players, most recently Andrea Dossena, and all have been rubbish.
Real Madrid are in a state of civil war, with their players looking to jump ship like sailors on an oil tanker in Somali waters.
Consequently, Benitez has switched to his original target and is out to liberate Heinze from his Bernabeu hell. Or something.
Whatever, Fergie's reaction should be worth watching if Liverpool manage to move the Argentinian back into his old house in Cheshire.
Giovanni Trapattoni rates Shay Given. He has made him Republic of Ireland captain and reckons he is as good as Gianluigi Buffon.
Good news for Newcastle, right? Well, no. Trap has once again been singing Given's praises to Italy's big guns.
Milan are known to be in the market for a keeper, and Given might be keeping David Beckham company in the new year if the Serie A giants stump up £8m.
Yossi Benayoun is wanted by Spartak Moscow, Manchester City and Ajax, and Liverpool could let him leave for £6m.
Bad news for City, though - he wants to learn a new language and Mancunian doesn't count. Italian, French and Russian do. Russian, in this case, meaning roubles.
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate is a massive Bangles fan. How else to explain his pursuit of a third Egyptian - Al Alhy's Emad Meteb, who nearly signed for Everton in the summer?
Other Egyptians who could be on the move are Hosny Abd-Rabbo and Ahmed El-Muhammadi, both of whom could sample the unique delights of a trial at Blackburn Rovers.
Fulham and West Bromwich Albion are on the trail of Lech Poznan's Bosnian international midfielder Semir Stelic, who can be procured for £1.6m.

shay given is full of @#$%, talks about how many caps he's got. because he's got @#$% all else to show for his career. Its none of his business if S.Ireland does'nt want to play for Ireland, so Shay should shut the @#$% up about it
@ darraghok94 Phil Chisnall in 1964 went from man utd to liverpool no one since
Has there ever been a direct transfer from liverpool to united or vice versa?
BTW, post 65 is right on! Can you spell "Seamus" aka Shay Given? Hmmmmm Seamus, is that not an Irish name through and through????? Proud of it too!
Let the scousers have him! More injuries and red cards at anfield!
anyone better than Dossenna and other failures at the back so yep we'll have Heinz
cormac o ;On checking my facts you are right. But we could still do with him in goal.
If Heinze was as tosh as all the United fans on here claim, then why did Fergie go so far out of his way to stop Liverpool signing him?
Personally I'd love it if United signed Dossena, Degen and half the rest of that useless shower that played against Spurs in the League Cup - surely if Heinze is that bad, you plastic and non-plastic mancs should love to see him at Anfield.
Sean h, i'll rip your face off, calling shay given fookin british, ya cuuunt. He's 100% irish from donegal. He's proud to play in the premiership, who wouldn't, but he's irish. I wouldnt say he's proud to play for newcastle. He's probably been the best keeper in premiership history and has nothing to show for it, well appart from surviving countless newcastles managers. He deserves to be playing at least champions league football regularlly. Off to spain or italy for yourself shay....
let the pool have heinze he is just another expensive mistake for rafa.
Oh this would make my day!
I'd love to see Father Jack ferguson's face if liverpool pull this off.
I've seen Heinze play many times live at OT and could not believe how bad he was.
Don't get me wrong, in his first season he was fantastic but after that he was not good at all, his passion was good but for 40g's a week my passion would be awesome aswell but its just like all his footballing ability left him. Sir Alex did well to get what he did for him. Let Liverpool have him, Cristiano will make him look silly!
On another note, Evra, the best left back in Europe at the moment, how on earth did Abidal get in the french team before him, unbelieveable!!!
Gaby heinze wanted to leave utd for liverpool not because he loves you and was always a liverpool fan (pull the other one gaby)...he wants the easy option to work under rafa and the strong spanish/argentine..contingent at liverpool + the singning on fee + a hike in wages...much easier to work under benitez than a hard task master like fergie...remember that if he signs...another worm to add to your colllecton
ck2311. Get your facts right. It's not just ENGLAND in case you havn't noticed Scotland and Wales are also on the planet.....Let me take a wild guess, a stab in the dark YOUR ENGLISH typical
hmmmmm......
Heinze Played for manchester united I agree maybe he will have 57 on his shirt to start at the reds
