Hibernian manager John Collins claims the club's new training ground is the most impressive he has ever been involved with. The former Celtic, Everton and Monaco midfielder insists none of his former clubs possessed facilities to match Hibernian's new centre, which was formally opened on Wednesday.
Collins is relishing being able to take advantage of the cutting-edge £4.9million development, which features five full-size outdoor grass pitches and an outdoor FIFA-approved synthetic pitch.
He hopes players will be attracted to the club by the complex which also features an indoor synthetic pitch, a gymnasium and an on-site medical unit, along with club offices.
Collins said: "The players and I have been champing at the bit to get into the new training centre and we couldn't be more delighted with the finished result.
"The facility is better than anything I have worked with, in England or in France, and will be of great help in producing talented footballers for the club.
"It should also be a major selling pointing in bringing professional players to the club, along with our stadium and the city itself."
Hibernian chairman Rod Petrie told the club's official website: "This is an exciting day for everyone connected with Hibernian.
"The need for access to better training facilities had been identified as a priority by successive managers and to be able to deliver the club's own top-class training centre is very satisfying."
