Jenkins picks up BRDC award.

Ducati engineer and designer Alan Jenkins has secured a top award after being honoured at the annual BRDC awards ceremony in London.

Alongside the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Andy Priaulx and Dario Franchitti, Jenkins secured the Sir Jackie Stewart Award - handed out to the motorsport engineer who has shown brilliance throughout the season.

Jenkins, who previously worked in Formula 1 for McLaren, Footwork, Stewart and Prost as well as for Penske in Indycar Racing, played a key part in helping Casey Stoner secure the MotoGP crown onboard his Desmosedici.

He now joins such names as new Honda F1 team chief Ross Brawn and Renault F1 head of engineering Pat Symonds in securing the BRDC honour.
