INTER 3 PARMA 2

At the Giuseppe Meazza, Parma fell behind to a close range Esteban Cambiaso effort on the half hour mark, but Luca Cigarini produced an equaliser with a crisp strike to bring the visitors level ten minutes later.

Parma then took the game to the champions - Andrea Pisanu tested Inter keeper Julio Cesar and Fernando Couto hit the post with a header - so when substitute Andrea Gasbarroni beat Julio Cesar at his near post with a well taken free kick on 69 minutes, it came as no surprise.

The visitors weathered the inevitable Inter storm until the 88th minute, when Couto was adjudged to have saved on the goalline with his arm. The referee dismissed the veteran defender and awarded a spot kick, which Ibrahimovic duly converted to pull the Nerazzurri level.

And the Sweden ace was on hand once again minutes later in injury time, controlling a cross on his chest and firing the winner past Luca Bucci, sparking scenes of protest from the Parma players on the pitch and jubilation from Inter fans in the stands.

JUVENTUS 0 SAMPDORIA 0

Claudio Ranieri's side were frustrated by a disciplined Sampdoria team at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin, although the hosts created enough chances to have won all three points.

Pavel Nedved's strong run and cut-back from the byline presented Marco Marchionni with a clear cut goalscoring opportunity early on, but the Juve midfielder somehow conspired to blaze over from two yards out.

David Trezeguet was his usual dangerous self, and he came closest to breaking the deadlock with a 36th minute volley that bounced back up off the ground and onto the crossbar.

The Frenchman had earlier prodded an effort narrowly wide of the upright and was then involved in a goalmouth scramble which produced a couple of decent close range saves from Luca Castellazzi.

Soon after, Samp defender Christian Maggio could have put the visitors in the lead, but he too was denied by the woodwork, his header bouncing back off the upright.

Samp held firm in the second half, and despite continued pressure from Juventus they hung on for a point which sees them move up into sixth place.

UDINESE 0 MILAN 1

In Udine, an injury time Alberto Gilardino winner lifted Milan into the top ten for the first time this season.

The game was heading for a goalless stalemate until the substitute striker pounced on a lovely flick on from Kaka in the 92nd minute following a costly error from Christian Zapata in the Udinese defence.

It was harsh on the hosts, who had more then held their own for the majority of the match and deserved at least a point.

That said, the better chances fell Milan's way, Ronaldo going closest when he his shot cannoned back off an upright in the first half.

The Brazilian was Milan's main attacking threat throughout and he should have opened the scoring with a back post header on 17 minutes. Soon after the restart, he tested Samir Handanovic in the Udinese goal once again with a crisp strike.

But it was by no means all Milan, and Udinese had chances of their own; Simone Pepe went close with two efforts in close succession, the first narrowly passing the far post and the second well saved by Milan keeper Zeljko Kalac.

Fabio Quagliarella also brought Kalac into action, his sweet volley from outside the penalty area testing the Australia international before he was forced to save again from Giandomenico Mesto on the rebound.

A late free-kick from Seedorf nearly won it for Milan, but Gilardino's late strike ensured the Rossoneri were not made to rue the missed opportunity.

ROMA 2 CATANIA 0

French midfielder Ludovic Giuly opened the scoring for second-placed Roma on eight minutes when he slotted in after Rodrigo Taddei's flying effort came back off the post.

Daniele De Rossi, in the absence of flu victim Francesco Totti, blasted in a second-half spot kick after Cristian Terlizzi fouled Taddei.

LIVORNO 1 EMPOLI 0

Francesco Tavano converted an early second-half penalty to give the hosts victory after the referee had spotted some pushing in the box.

NAPOLI 2 LAZIO 2

Slovakia's Marek Hamsik calmy side-footed home after a scramble in the box to give Napoli a fifth-minute lead before midfielder Cristian Ledesma brought Lazio level when he smacked the ball in from outside the area.

Forward Goran Pandev, who also had an effort ruled out for offside, put Lazio in front with a cool finish after half an hour following Igli Tare's pass.

Ledesma hit the post with a free-kick early in the second period before Hamsik grabbed a draw in stoppage time. Napoli's Manuele Blasi and Lazio's Guglielmo Stendardo were dismissed late on for two yellows and protesting respectively.

PALERMO 2 SIENA 3

Siena took home the spoils after a cracking match with Simone Loria netting the winner with a looping header having earlier conceded a penalty.

Palermo striker Amauri headed in his eighth goal of the season after just four minutes but the visitors hit back immediately with Tomas Locatelli firing home from inside the box.

Massimo Maccarone turned in Luca Rossettini's whipped cross from close range on 11 minutes for Siena before Fabrizio Miccoli hit the woodwork with a penalty after Loria's foul. Miccoli had another chance from the spot on 76 minutes and this time scored only for Loria to steal the glory two minutes later.

REGGINA 2 CAGLIARI 0

A dull game between two strugglers came to life with Franco Brienza's controlled finish on 67 minutes after Cagliari's defence had ignored him at the far post.

Francesco Cozza's fierce effort off the underside of the bar doubled Reggina's lead 10 minutes from time to leave Cagliari six adrift at the bottom.
