Duo missing for Clarets

Burnley will be without Martin Paterson and Junior Stanislas for the visit of Derby.

Both players suffered hamstring injuries in the second half of the Clarets' 2-0 victory at Middlesbrough last weekend.

Forward Paterson is facing three to four weeks out of action and the prognosis is worse for winger Stanislas, who is set for up to eight weeks on the sidelines.

Charlie Austin may partner top scorer Jay Rodriguez in attack in Paterson's absence, while Keith Treacy or Marvin Bartley could replace Stanislas.

Bartley stepped into the breach when the former West Ham man hobbled off at the Riverside Stadium, while Treacy maintained match sharpness by turning out for the Clarets' reserve team against Preston in midweek.

Striker Danny Ings came off the bench to net the winning goal in that match and could push for a place on the bench as he targets a Burnley debut after a five-month knee injury nightmare following his summer move from Bournemouth.
