Duo set to boost Magpies

Notts County boss Martin Allen could be boosted by the return of Gavin Mahon and Krystian Pearce for the visit of his former club MK Dons.

Mahon has been a big miss for the Magpies, who have lost three and won one of the five matches during the midfielder's absence with a hamstring injury.

Pearce has resumed training and been given the all-clear to play after missing the last two games because of a groin problem.

The defender's return is particularly good news for Allen who is short of options at the back with the suspended Alan Sheehan and the injured Julian Kelly (calf), Sam Sodje (hamstring), Jude Stirling (knee) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) all out.

Recent signings Damion Stewart and Kieron Freeman will make their home debuts should they retain their places in the starting XI.
