Jaroslaw Fojut seized the chance to resurrect his dream of making it in British football when he agreed to join Celtic.
The Polish defender, who signed a pre-contract deal on Tuesday, spent several years with Bolton as a teenager, where he first came to the attention of Neil Lennon while playing against the Celtic manager on loan for Luton against Nottingham Forest.
Fojut, 24, returned to his homeland five years ago and made his name with Slask Wroclaw, who were Polish runners up last season before knocking Dundee United out of the Europa League.
But he jumped at the chance to return to the UK and play for a world-famous club.
Fojut, who will join on a three-year contract in the summer, told Celtic's website: "I always wanted to play in British football and when I was 15 and had the chance to go to Bolton. I didn't even think about it, I just packed my bags and went.
"Obviously, that didn't last very long and I came back to Poland to get as many games as I can. When there was interest from Celtic I always had it in my mind that I would be signing for the club. It's a big move for me."
