Burnley have signed striker Josh McQuoid on a three-month loan deal from Championship rivals Millwall.
McQuoid played under Clarets boss Eddie Howe at Bournemouth before moving to The Den last January following a loan spell.
The 22-year-old scored regularly for Howe in the first half of the 2010/11 season but has struggled with the Lions and only managed one goal in 16 appearances.
Manager Howe told Burnley's official website: "He is a very talented young player who did really well for me at Bournemouth and scored a lot of goals and deservedly got a move to a higher level. I'm delighted to have him with us.
"He's quick, athletic and he's got a good attitude as well, so I hope he will do well for us."
McQuoid has made just a single start for Millwall this season and arrives at Turf Moor as cover for injured strike duo Martin Paterson and Junior Stanislas.

As a season ticket holder ive seen mcquoid on all the occassions he has played and he has had chances to shine. The 3 yard sitter he put wide against barnsley and the injuries he has suffered seems to have affected him confidence wise but i just dont see him scoring the goals or putting the graft in that is required when things are not going your way. Hope he does well and we see a different player come back but kenny wrong? only on signing him in the first place.
David, could not agree more.
cant understand millwall paid out a lot of cash for mcquoid never given a chance to prove himself at the new den wish you luck at your new club and hope you prove kenny wrong and we see you back again.
