Teenage striker Andy Carroll is ready to grab his dream chance of playing a part in Newcastle's Premier League clash against Manchester United.Carroll was left out of Monday night's reserve team game with Liverpool because boss Kevin Keegan did not want to risk the 19-year-old ahead of the weekend showdown.
Carroll, who has scored four goals in as many games for the reserves since returning from a loan spell at Preston, told the club's official website: "I didn't play for the reserves because there is a chance I might be involved at some point.
"It would be great to get that chance and I definitely feel ready, but we'll have to wait and see.
"I've said before that I'll keep working hard in training and scoring goals and hopefully the gaffer will notice that."
