Crofts aims to win back his place

Wed 20 Feb, 05:00 PM

Lincoln defender Gary Croft is ready for a tough fight in order to win back his place in manager Peter Jackson's starting line-up.The 34-year-old full-back has been sidelined since sustaining a calf injury at Bradford on Boxing Day and had hoped to make his comeback for the reserves this week, but the match was postponed.

Croft said: "Lee (Ridley) has been brought in by the gaffer and he's done a great job at left-back and I know that I've got to work really hard to win back my place.

"But competition for places can only be a good thing for the team and I'm looking forward to fighting for my place."
