Northampton defender Jason Crowe praised Adebayo Akinfenwa's powerful influence in his first month at Sixfields.Striker Akinfenwa scored twice on his full debut for the Cobblers in their 4-0 thrashing of Gillingham last weekend, taking his tally to four goals in three games since joining Northampton on a free transfer from Millwall in the January window.
Crowe completed the rout with his fourth goal since December to put the Cobblers back on track after their 1-0 defeat by Yeovil the previous Tuesday.
"Bayo has fitted in really well - he's a lovely lad off the pitch and he definitely gives us something a bit different," Crowe told the club's official website.
"He holds the ball up well and he has got a bit of pace to go with his strength."
Akinfenwa scored two crucial equalisers from the bench against Swindon and Leeds despite not being fully match fit, and had to be withdrawn against Gillingham after an hour.
