Craig Gordon is convinced Sunderland can build on their home win over Wigan by finally giving their travelling fans something to cheer about.The Black Cats have picked up just two points on their travels in the Premier League this season but Gordon believes the time is right for a change in fortunes, starting at Portsmouth on Saturday.

Gordon told SAFC TV: "It's about time, we feel as if we're getting closer and we just have to get that first one and I'm sure many more will follow.

"We'll go there confident we can get something from the game. It's a long journey back for the fans, and for ourselves, so hopefully we can come back with something."
