Paul Ince hailed the heroics of Willy Gueret after MK Dons put one foot in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final by beating Swansea 1-0.Jemal Johnson's second-half winner was enough to give the League Two leaders a crucial away goal to take back for the semi-final second leg at stadium:mk.

Former Swansea goalkeeper Gueret frustrated the Swans attack with a string of fine saves throughout the game.

"We had to ride our luck a little in the first-half but all credit to my players for hanging in there. Willy had a fine game in goal for us but we weathered their storm and managed to get the lead," said Dons boss Ince.

"I told the players at half-time that we were top of our league and we showed them too much respect and stood off them. But we looked stronger after the break and deserved the goal.

"Swansea are a strong side and have a lot of pace and movement in the final third. There's a long way to go and nobody is getting carried away, but it's a great result for us."
