Crewe's Ryan Lowe could head out on loan according to first-team coach Steve Holland who claims several clubs have made an approach to sign. The 29-year-old joined The Railwaymen on a free transfer from League Two side Chester last summer but has so far struggled to make an impact on Holland's first-team plans.
Talking to BBC Radio Stoke, Holland said: "There are a number of clubs that would borrow Ryan if we agree.
"I'm certainly in no rush to see the back of Ryan but if he says he wants to go somewhere to get football, then we will discuss that.
"Ryan has had some opportunities in the first team, but perhaps he has not done as well as he would have liked."
Meanwhile, Holland has described defender Julien Baudet's recovery from a calf injury as "better than the physios had anticipated" and has not ruled him out for this weekend's trip to Leeds.
