Millers hoping for financial solution

Wed 20 Feb, 03:46 PM

Rotherham manager Mark Robins believes the club's looming off-field threat of going into administration could galvanise his team on the pitch. The Millers revealed on Tuesday they could slip back into administration if new investment is not found quickly.

That would mean a 10-point deduction for the south Yorkshire club that would seriously harm their promotion aspirations.

"Players are good at putting off-field matters behind them. We know these are difficult times but this may galvanize us and it is a time when everyone must stick together," Robins told The Star.

"Our job is on the pitch and getting results and striving to turn round the run we are on. Four defeats in five games certainly wasn't in our script but I can't fault the effort and I am sure will get an upturn in form very quickly

"The best thing we can do for everyone is go out and get a win against Lincoln on Saturday. People are working hard off the field to sort matters out and our job is getting the results that will lift the spirits of our supporters."
