Captain Graeme Murty has described Reading's battle to avoid relegation as their "biggest challenge for four to five years".The Royals have lost their last seven Premier League games and have slipped into the bottom three as a result.

Murty told the club's official website: "Relegation would be a massive hit to everyone at the club so we've got to get the fans behind us and give them something to cheer about.

"Getting out of a situation like this can tell you as much about a team as the promotion did."
