Egypt striker Mido has praised Middlesbrough's new-found team spirit following an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions.The 24-year-old, who has been sidelined until recently with injury, came through 70 minutes of Boro's goalless draw with Sheffield United in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday.

Mido told the club's official website: "With the team character we have everyone is fighting for their place and you can see the spirit on the pitch."

More than 6,000 fans made the trip to Bramall Lane and Mido added: "The supporters are behind us more than before because they see we are fighting for everything."
