Brighton manager Dean Wilkins insisted his side's 2-1 win over Cheltenham was a "deserved victory", despite their controversial late winner. The home side trailed for most of Tuesday night's game due to Steve Brooker's early strike but levelled through Glenn Murray, before Joel Lynch's late effort was adjudged to have crossed the line, securing all three points for the Seagulls.
He said: "It was a goal which gave us three points and I'll take that any day of the week.
"We are capable of doing good things. We haven't got the self belief we should have. We didn't play fantastically well in this game but we still picked up three points.
"All credit to the players for going on to the end. There is no doubt we deserved the victory.
"We dominated after going a goal behind and applied more pressure by finishing the game with three at the back."
