A brace from David Clarkson helped Motherwell to a 3-1 SPL win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Fir Park.
Third-placed Motherwell now move four points clear of nearest rivals Dundee United, while Caley stay eighth.
Clarkson put the hosts ahead on seven minutes when he hammered in a Ross McCormack pass from the right, McCormack again involved two minutes later when Steven Hammell's cross was headed in by Chris Porter.
Don Cowie pulled it back to 2-1 with a superb long-range effort, but the two-goal advantage was restored by Clarkson left-foot volley following a Hammell corner.
Porter also hit the bar for 'Well while Inverness defender Grant Munro twice saw headers rebound off the woodwork in a second half which also saw Caley have a penalty appeal turned down
