Sochi women's super-combined cancelled
The women's World Cup super-combined scheduled at the ski resort of Rosa Khutor, near Sochi, on Sunday was cancelled.
The International Ski Federation said the condition of the snow did not make it possible to hold the race on the course of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
It looked very doubtful that the event could be rescheduled on a later date.
Should it be confirmed that the super-combined will not be replaced, American Lindsey Vonn, currently leading the discipline's World Cup standings, would win her second crystal globe of the season after the downhill trophy she clinched on Saturday.
