Sheffield Wednesday skipper Rob Jones feels next Sunday's Steel City derby has taken on even greater significance following his side's current poor run.
The Owls' automatic promotion hopes have nosedived in recent weeks following three straight league defeats and central defender Jones believes the clash with city rivals Sheffield United could help determine the rest of their season.
"Sometimes you go through spells where things just don't go right for you, but the quicker that is over, the better," said Jones after Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to lowly Chesterfield.
"This game against Sheffield United is by far our biggest game of the season and we need a result.
"With it being a derby, it's a massive game for both teams. Maybe a little more so for us because we're at home and we need to get back on track."
