Lincoln's Gary Croft has announced his desire to continue playing even if he is not offered a new deal at Sincil Bank at the end of the season.Croft, 34, is one of eight Imps players whose contract runs out in the summer, but the full-back wants to continue pulling on the red and white stripes long after the season's end.
He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "You have to prepare for the worst, but I still think I've got quite a bit to offer. The injury is behind me, so come next season, I'm going to be fit - and a fit Gary Croft will have a lot to offer the club.
"It's not down to me, it's down to the club, but I want to be part of the new regime.
"Next season is going to be an exciting time as there is going to be a lot of new players coming in. I want to be part of it, but if I'm not, that's football."
Croft played 70 minutes for the reserves in midweek as he continues to recover from a calf injury which has seen him miss four months of the season.
