In-form Cobbers set to be unchanged

Thu 20 Mar, 01:15 PM

Northampton manager Stuart Gray is set to name an unchanged side as his in-form team eye the play-off places when they host Nottingham Forest. The Cobblers smashed leaders Swansea 4-2 last Saturday and Gray is set to keep faith with the same XI as they aim to climb to their highest league position in 10 years.

Defender Mark Hughes sits out the final game of his two-match suspension but is struggling with a thigh injury which looks likely to rule him out of Monday's trip to Carlisle.

Adebayo Akinfenwa and Poul Hubertz will continue their bruising partnership in attack as under-fire former Cobblers boss Colin Calderwood brings his Forest side to Sixfields.

Captain Chris Doig has returned to training after his hamstring injury and fellow centre-half Brett Johnson is also back from his own hamstring problem.

However, neither are fit enough to return yet but could feature before the end of the season.
