Rochdale boss Keith Hill is confident his side can finish the season strongly following their win against Accrington Stanley on Sunday.Dale ran out 4-1 winners at Spotland to put an end to a torrid run of five successive home defeats that had threatened to derail their promotion hopes.
However Hill's side now lie just one point outside the play-offs and have three games in hand over sixth-placed Chesterfield.
He told the Rochdale Observer: "We've laid a foundation for the rest of the season and we've got to maintain the belief we showed in the second half throughout our remaining home and away fixtures.
"We want to get into the play-offs and Sunday's result got rid of a few demons and gave us a tremendous lift."
