Paul Ifill's latest comeback from injury lasted less than 45 minutes after he limped out of Crystal Palace's reserve game against Brighton. The luckless winger, who has been sidelined with hamstring trouble, grabbed an early goal as the Eagles' second string sank their derby rivals 2-1.
But he suffered an ankle injury after going in for a 50-50 challenge and had to be substituted before the interval.
Fellow midfielder Neil Danns was also involved after a month out with groin trouble and could be in the frame for Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday, while defender Tony Craig continued his comeback from shoulder surgery.
Youngster Ryan Hall, back at Palace after his recent loan spell with Dagenham, grabbed the Eagles' winner.
