Lawrence to repay Potters faith

Liam Lawrence has revealed his determination to help Stoke secure promotion after extending his stay at the Britannia Stadium for another year.Lawrence is now under contract with the Potters until 2012 and, after scoring 14 goals this season to help the side reach top spot, is determined to showcase his burgeoning talent in the top flight again.

"I'm delighted to have agreed a new contract," said the 26-year-old, who misses Saturday's home clash with Blackpool through suspension.

"I have had a fantastic time with the club and I am determined to help bring Premier League football to Stoke.

"The fans, the city and everything about my time in Stoke has been first class and I can't tell you how happy I am to have got the deal done."
