Rochdale striker Adam Le Fondre believes his side would be in the shake-up for automatic promotion had they not been so inconsistent at home.Dale are currently only one point outside of the play-off zone but have three games in hand on the majority of their rivals.
However, 13-goal Le Fondre accepts a dismal record of just five home wins - in stark contrast to 11 away wins - has severely hampered their progress.
Le Fondre, who scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 home win against Accrington last weekend, said: "Hopefully the win against Accrington will really get us back on track at home now.
"If we had been able to reproduce our away form at home on a regular basis then I don't think we'd just be thinking about being in the play-offs.
"It would be more like automatic promotion and there's no doubt that our home form has stifled us this season. But I think we will make the play-offs."
