Oldham have been boosted after teenage Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell extended his loan spell for a further seven days. The Latics agreed the emergency loan with the Championship outfit and the Football League have sanctioned the deal for the 19-year-old.
Oldham are currently without goalkeeper Mark Crossley due to a groin problem and O'Donnell - who made his debut in last week's 3-0 defeat at Luton - is set to start against Millwall on Saturday and Doncaster on Easter Monday.
Latics boss John Sheridan said: "Richard is a young lad who is very highly thought of at Sheffield Wednesday, but I felt a bit sorry for him at Luton because we didn't help him out at all.
"He made some excellent saves in the second half and kept the score down. Playing here will be good experience for him and hopefully he can keep some clean sheets for us."
