Southend host Swansea with boss Steve Tilson expected to give Nick Bailey and Charlie Mulgrew as long as possible to prove their fitness.The midfield duo sustained hamstring injuries during last Saturday's 2-1 win at Huddersfield and now face a race against time to face the Swans on Friday.

Midfielder Alan McCormack ousted Franck Moussa from the side against the Terriers last time after returning from a two-game ban and should retain his place, while Lee Barnard (hip), Matt Harrold (thigh) and Charlie MacDonald (ankle) are all match fit again.

Striker Alex Revell has yet to return to full training after battling back from a hernia problem and remains sidelined.

The Shrimpers go into the game unbeaten in their last six games and occupying fifth place in League One.
