Whelpdale back in United squad

Thu 20 Mar, 02:45 PM

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has called winger Chris Whelpdale back into his squad for the top-of-the-table clash at MK Dons.Whelpdale has been left out of the last two squads after needing a break in his first season as a professional but is back in contention to face Paul Ince's side.

Josh Low has fully recovered from a calf injury and has started in Whelpdale's place for the last two games but is sweating on his place in the starting XI.

Striker Liam Hatch missed training earlier this week with a slight back problem but should be fit enough to take his customary place on the bench as Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron Mclean continue their prolific partnership.

Defender Kieran Charnock is Ferguson's only long-term absentee with a knee injury as Posh seek a potentially decisive win in the title race.
