Wilson: Easter period is key

Thu 20 Mar, 03:15 PM

Boss Danny Wilson concedes Hartlepool face an uphill task to make the play-offs - but a six-point return over Easter could change their season.Pools travel to Crewe on Saturday seven points adrift of a top-six spot before Yeovil arrive at Victoria Park on Monday.

And Wilson is hopeful of securing back-to-back wins.

"It'll be two tough games for us," said Wilson.

"The league has chopped and changed all the time this year and in that respect you've got to believe that you can [make the play-offs]. It would be a big, big ask from our point of view. But you never know.

"If we can get a good result against Crewe then there's a quickfire six points over three days up for grabs and that is a massive return. There won't be many teams who get that over the Easter period."
