Thyne Again is likely to head to the Punchestown Festival after a solid fourth in last week's Arkle at Cheltenham.
Liam Burke's seven-year-old travelled well throughout the race before being left in Tidal Bay's wake up the Cheltenham hill.
The County Cork handler was pleased with his effort but feels a step up in trip could be the order of the day.
"He ran a cracker, he just didn't pick up from the second-last to the last," said Burke. "On the day the winner was just too good.
"The ground wasn't a problem, it was just disappointing that he'd travelled so well to the third last but he just didn't pick up.
"He probably needs two and a half miles. He's probably just short of pace for that sort of race - the winner was very impressive.
"He'll probably go to Punchestown if the ground is safe."
