UEFA have fined Lyon 5,000 Swiss francs (£2,500) after the French club's supporters used a laser to target opposition players in last month's Champions League clash with Manchester United.
UEFA's disciplinary body said that the Ligue 1 side had been sanctioned "for incidents of an unsporting nature."
Television pictures showed United winger Cristiano Ronaldo being targeted by a green light both before and during the fist knockout round tie at Lyon's Stade Gerland on February 20.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with United going on to reach the quarter-finals after winning the second leg 1-0.
Thursday's disciplinary decision is final as the fine is the maximum amount that UEFA's disciplinary body can impose without the possibility for clubs to appeal.
